A description of the data used by and stored by SEMIP. A large collection of observational datasets have been identified and are being collected by SEMIP. These serve not only to provide "ground-truth" information on which to evaluate model performance, but also can, in some cases, serve as inputs to additional modeling steps. The list of identified model datasets is being updated and uploaded here. The following is an IN PROGRESS list. Please check back for more information as we get it posted. Note that not all collected data can be shared due to either (a) ownership restrictions, or (b) technical issues related to dataset posting. If you have or know of a dataset that can be of use to SEMIP, please contact us to let us know. Thanks! Note: we have grouped the datasets here on a closest match basis. Some datasets may contain information in multiple categories despite being listed in only one. Potential Data Sources
A large number of data sources have been identified as being of potential utility to SEMIP, based on simple considerations of the types of data of interest. Out of this larger list, we have identified and selected a smaller number of datasets to focus on first, as listed below.
Identified and collected datasets
The following datasets have been identified as being important for SEMIP. We are following up and determining whether we can obtain these data. Datasets marked with an asterisk (*) have been collected. Those marked with a carrot (^) are in progress. Basic Fire Information
Fuel Loading
Total Consumption
Time Profile of Consumption
Speciated Emissions
Vertical Plume Profiles
Total Column SmokeGround Concentrations
