Miriam has been with the Forest Service for almost 20 years. She has worked on a wide range of topics, including understanding and predicting dry lightning outbreaks in the western U.S. She has been integrally involved in the development and evaluation of the BlueSky Framework, a smoke dispersion prediction system which simulates the effects of smoke from prescribed and wildfires.
