Forest Service Homepage View smoke forecast for Southern California Fire

These products are produced by regional Fire Consortia for the Advanced Modeling of Meteorology and Smoke (FCAMMS) that are nationally coordinated by the US Forest Service.
Some products are available for viewing with a variety of tools, including the RAINS GIS web system, a JavaScript animator, and as Animated GIFs. The RAINS system will only work with newer browsers. The JavaScript animator allows for more user control over speed, etc... but requires a larger download and is therefore best over high-speed connects. Animated gifs should work with all browsers and connections.
